American Electronics Recycling’s mission is to provide residence, businesses, schools and governments a safe, secure, convenient and reliable means of electronics disposal that meets all local, state and federal regulations while providing exceptional customer service to accommodate the needs of it’s customers.

American Electronics Recycling (AER) is the result of combined decades of experience and expertise gained within the metals recycling industry. Electronics recycling was clearly recognized as a current need, and was further identified as a rapidly growing "need for tomorrow". As the economy shifts more and more to an information based system, the electronic devices that are the tools of this activity will be replaced more and more rapidly as technology improves. Another factor facing many governmental and business users is the rapidly expanding legislation regarding proper disposal of electronic devices. AER is positioned to meet the needs for cost effective, environmentally responsible recycling of this rapidly expanding segment of our economy.

 

Planning for AER began in 2003, and operations started up in late 2004. Management chose to open a new facility in Bradenton, FL rather than to purchase an existing company. That choice was based on a decision to begin with the latest available equipment, and to train our workforce in a culture of customer service and professionalism that is the foundation of our business. We simply wanted to start on the path to become the most outstanding service provider in the industry, and believed that a new facility was the best way to achieve that goal. In the fall of 2006, AER moved into a much larger 62,000 square foot high security facility in Sarasota, FL. At that time, AER incorporated a state of the art and one of a kind E-shredding and separating system.

Our intent is to become the leading electronics recycler in the southeastern United States, operating from various sites throughout the region to meet customer needs. We are committed to maintaining a company culture of customer service and environmental professionalism.
